On June 16, 2007, the community was invited to attend Picnic in the Park, a one-day re-dedication event for the newly restored Children’s Playground and Garden at Oak Grove Farm.  Over 800 community members and guests attended thefestivities, and many of those families return daily to play in the playground; to sit on the new benches and read a book under the newly constructed pergola, made from the original Douglas Fir playground built in 1991; or to walk around the newly planted Children’s Garden - designed and installed and maintained by the Millis Garden Club.  If you haven’t visited the newly revitalized community space, we welcome you to re-visit Oak Grove Farm, the heart of the Millis community.

Also newly created is the brick patio, with inscribed bricks that were purchased by community members and businesses prior to Spring  2007, when Phase 1 of the Brick Project was completed.  The Oak Grove Farm Commission has begun fundraising efforts to support Phase 2, which will complete the original design of the project.  All proceeds from new brick sales will help support the completion of a new brick walkway along the length of the Oak Grove Farm Playground.  Your inscribed brick(s) will be installed in the Brick Patio, in front of the benches and pergola and along side the playground.

Bricks can be purchased in honor or memory of a loved one; for your family; for your business; or for your pet. Orders from outside the Millis community are most welcomed.

Brick orders will be accepted for:   Two lines / $50.00;  or  Three lines / $75.00

Each line holds a maximum of 14 characters (including any spaces). One-line orders accepted. Minimum order is $50.00.
